A Director of Strategy and Innovation at Egg, Richard both supervises and is directly involved in projects ranging across the Egg spectrum from consumer insight to innovation. He joined the firm in 2002 and has since worked on some of our most high-profile engagements, including ones for Starbucks, Nestle, Diageo, Kaiser Permanante, and Ameriprise. Richard is a talented qualitative research moderator and innovation facilitator, and also takes on responsibility for training Egg’s new strategist hires.

Richard grew up in the UK and started his career in London in the early 1990s, training and working as a moderator on blue chip brands like Guinness, Cadbury and Procter and Gamble. Having turned his hand to Strategic Planning with a move to BBDO in Canada, Richard worked on national brands like Molson Breweries, A&W Root Beer and Telus Communications. This initial experience combined with his English accent ensures Richard has built-in credibility in almost any business situation.

When he’s not spending time with his family or the intriguing strangers of qualitative sessions, Richard’s means of keeping fit and sane include road biking, snowboarding and early morning hikes.
